The appropriate copyright clearance code notice is to appear on the bottom of the first page of each paper according to the guidelines set forth in the Cataloging/Copyright Instructions for an IEEE Conference Proceeding.

The copyright notice to be added depends on the circumstances as follows:

For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is:

U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright

For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-7281-3949-4/19/$31.00 ©2019 Crown For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union, the copyright notice is: 978-1-7281-3949-4/19/$31.00 ©2019 European Union

For all other papers the copyright notice is: 978-1-7281-3949-4/19/31.00 ©2019 IEEE Tips for adding the IEEE copyright notice to your pdf: • MSWord users can use: ‘Insert’ ➝ ‘Text box’, insert the appropriate copyright notice in the textbox, and place the box (without border) at the bottom left on the first page. The copyright notice should appear about 1 cm below the left column, and should be aligned to the left with the same left margin as the column. • If you are preparing your paper in LaTeX and you are using the IEEEtran document class, this may help: • Add the following code before the \maketitle command: \IEEEoverridecommandlockouts \IEEEpubid{\makebox[\columnwidth]{978-1-7281-3949-4/19/\31.00~\copyright2019 IEEE \hfill} \hspace{\columnsep}\makebox[\columnwidth]{ }}
• Add the following code after the \maketitle command:
• Make sure you use the appropriate IEEE copyright notice string, as explained above.
• If necessary, contact Jenny Torres at jenny.torres@epn.edu.ec for the appropriate copyright notice.
